Shock Octopus collage

Collage of all the recent work I’ve done for the band Shock Octopus. Illustration and graphic design for their EP launch. Gig poster and album interior work. I also redesigned their old logo. That’s me with the poster. I was so happy to see it printed and right in front of me, having only ever seen it on my computer as the band take care of all printing and promotion. A friend and I were passing by Stream Studios, a local rehearsal room a lot of bands here in Perth use and we saw it posted up on the bulletin board.

Solstice Gig Poster

First poster for the Perth, WA music scene.

I got introduced to the event organizer (also one of the guys in playing in the band Shock Octopus) who, after seeing my old student showreel video, contacted me about doing a gig poster for a  show he was playing in. He wanted to center the imagery around his band obviously. Job brief: Draw whatever you want, just as long as you include tentacles.
