Shock Octopus collage
Collage of all the recent work I’ve done for the band Shock Octopus. Illustration and graphic design for their EP launch. Gig poster and album interior work. I also redesigned their old logo. That’s me with the poster. I was so happy to see it printed and right in front of me, having only ever seen it on my computer as the band take care of all printing and promotion. A friend and I were passing by Stream Studios, a local rehearsal room a lot of bands here in Perth use and we saw it posted up on the bulletin board.
Master Showreel 2011
There was a group of people here in Perth who were organizing something called the Animator’s Hour, a showcase of local and international talent focusing primarily on 2D and 3D animation. I was contacted by one of the organizers Aska back in December 2011 saying that she had seen my work and asked if I would like to participate. Though I specialize more in 2D still imagery, I put together a showreel for them and they included me in the lineup among a bunch of awesome animated shorts, something I’m really flattered by. It was shown on the big screen at the Northbridge Piazza on Thu. 5th April 2012.

The first showreel video I ever pulled together. I really dig the music by Alex Berserker , a cover of Infected Mushroom’s Heavyweight.
Divine Beast Promo Vid
A joint art exhibition I put on back in Nov 2011 with my partner in crime Jennifer Donnelly. It was called ‘Divine Beast’ and was the last of six DUETS exhibitions showcasing the work of two Perth illustrators/designers, both showing off their own pieces as well as one or more collaborations. The video’s by me, and the music is an instrumental version of Eyes of Eternity by Depth, the melodic death metal band my friend Gaser El Safty and I have together.
Jenson and I did 5 pieces each, as well as one collaborative piece. It was hosted by the awesome owners of Scraps.
